What if my parcel/s are severely delayed or lost in the post?
It is extremely rare for parcels to go "missing" in the mail, with the postal services we use. However, once we have posted your parcel/s to you, we leave it to the postal company to deliver packages and so sometimes they may have delays with their services. This is completely out of our hands and is not something we can control. If you have concerns about your parcel, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your order details and full name. Within the UK, there is a 15 working day time period during which Royal Mail do not investigate any specific parcels. After 15 working days have passed, we are required to submit a claims form with your details, to seek a reimbursement for the cost of the items you purchased. Until this claim is complete and we have reclaimed your money, we are unable to take further action. With international orders, there is a minimum 30 working day period, before the Postal company will investigate. With international orders, often delays are caused by Customs holding packages, which is, again, out of our control. Every country has their own customs procedures with which we cannot interfere. In this case, we have to submit a claims form after 30 working days regarding your order and cannot take further action until they have investigated.
Again, since Customs procedures are out of our hands, any actions they take are not influenced by us, nor do we have the legal power to change their procedures. There are occasions where Customs will open parcels and charge 'Customs Charges' on the contents. We do not take liability for any charges that Customs put on orders. If you refuse to pay Customs Charges, they send your parcel back to the country of origin; however, they may not send it back tracked and if we do not receive the parcel back, then we are unable to resend or refund your order. If we are sent back any parcels, Postage costs are payable again by the customer; should you wish to be refunded for the returned parcel, we refund the cost of the items but not the original Postage charges.
For International orders, we do not take responsibility for parcels once they leave the UK. We are not liable for missing parcels.
